I stayed at this cozy hostel for 2 weeks and had an amazing time. Everything I needed was within walking distance, including grocery stores, cafes, restaurants, and the beach. The property was well-maintained, with amenities for storing and preparing food, as well as a clean and nicely maintained pool. The staff, especially Juliana, were exceptional and worked hard to keep everything tidy and comfortable. The hostel had a great family-like atmosphere and I felt right at home. I can't say enough good things about this place and would definitely return in the future.

Great hiking and beach access with sun loungers to relax on. Enjoyed playing board games and the convenience of a locker room. Appreciated the pet-friendly and non-smoking rooms.

I had a great stay at Help Yourself Hostels - Carcavelos Coast. The pool was refreshing and a nice way to relax after a long day of exploring. The location was also convenient, just a 10-minute walk to the beach and close to the train station.

One drawback was the cleanliness of the hostel. There were hairs from previous guests everywhere and the shower was dirty with barely any hot water.

The staff, especially Juliana, went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. They worked tirelessly to maintain the cleanliness of the hostel, even though some guests didn't pick up after themselves. I felt so at home here that I didn't want to leave. The staff's energy and dedication were truly mind-blowing. I can't wait to come back if I can. Kudos to Juliana, Mario, and the rest of the team for an unforgettable experience. Oh, and the hostel building itself is super stylish, and the patio is just excellent.

Guests can surf the web and enjoy a relaxing time in the spacious and welcoming living room. It was a great place for our family to gather and connect. The hostel also offers babysitting services, which allowed my wife and I to have some much-needed alone time while knowing our children were in safe hands.

My wife says that having a play area specifically for children would have been a great addition to the hostel.

help yourself hostels - carcavelos coast was an incredible find during my stay in carcavelos. the location was perfect, just a short walk from the beach and public transportation. the friendly staff went out of their way to make me and my son feel welcome, and the property had great common spaces for us to enjoy. overall, it exceeded my expectations.

One thing that was off was the language barrier with some of the staff.
